Great weather for fishing today with temperatures up to a pleasant 23 degree's celsius and a light breeze. Somehow don't think the fish were so keen.
Good turnout of twenty two anglers, good to see Phil Morris and John Mysiak, not seen them for ages.
Everyone had paid and draw completed by 9:00am, the match scheduled for 10:30 - 3:30.
Two Golden Peg opportunities were drawn out with Frank Davies and Lee Clarke being the lucky recipients.
Fishing today turned out to be tough with many only seeing decent runs of fish in the last hour or so.
A couple of members broke tackle, Geoff Burgess seeing off a No4 section having retrieved a top two earlier which had tried to impersonate a submarine. Paul Roby broke his pole, but don't know the details.
Match concluded at 3:30 on schedule and James did the weigh-in, results you can see below in position order. 'Match Report' link towards top of this page gives you link to PDF of match sheet so you can see the sections. Golden Peg remains safe as both Frank and Lee were unsuccessful in winning, congratulations to Neil who took the win with a great 66lb 11oz.
