Final Spring League match for this season and we were on our local venue Partridge Lakes.
The weather was set far with blue skies, light breeze and an air temperature that eventually got up to about 12°C.
Nineteen anglers made the trip today and after brekkie and a brew, draw took place at 8.30am with the match fishing 10.00am - 3.00pm. Golden peg today was Tony Bennett who unfortunately didn't get close to a win today, so the money continues to roll over.
The eventual overall match winner today was Rob Healey who caught all his fish on maggot and was non-stop for a large portion of the five hour match. Well done to Rob, who has also by winning, confirmed his place in the Partridge Club Angler competition which takes place later in the year, he has also won this years Spring League, so well done for that as well!
Also to Mark Davies who finished second overall on the match but was the highest weight on Marsh Canal, so he too has qualified for Club Angler competition.
Our next match is our midweek league which takes place at Blundell's on Tuesday 21st May, hope to see members there.
