Penultimate match in this year's Summer League and it was down to Staffordshire for a match at Baden Hall.
To be fair many had reservations about this match which were proved right, so likely to be our last visit for the forseeable future to this venue.
That said, twenty four anglers made the trip, which isn't bad when we are deep into holiday season.
Breakfast was had by all in the cafe which was a good start to the day. The weather forecast wasn't great but luckily the rain held off for most of the day and only turned up at the end for the weigh-in.
The gales however, were in for the day, with wind gusting up to 30mph it was always going to be a tough day.
The match ran from 10.30 - 3.30, the wind having a big effect. Paul Roby on peg 13 and certainly not lucky lost his brolly when it gave up the ghost against the wind. Frank broke a top two, same reason most likely.
Crayfish were still evident with most anglers catching them even if they didn't catch fish.
There are quite a few DNW's below, some did however catch, but chose not to weigh in.
Well done to all who fished the match, in particular our top three in what was tricky conditions.
Hard luck to Tony Savage who drew Golden Peg to no avail.
Our next match and final match in this year's Summer League is also our final coach trip of the year to Cob House in Worcestershire on Saturday 3rd September, so if you are on it, will see you there.
