Final match in this years Junior Summer League and we were at our home pool, Brownlee's for this match.
We had sunshine and showers throughout the duration of the match but the rain wasn't prolonged.
Nine of our Juniors were waiting for us poolside today and after setting up camp with gazebo and BBQ we got underway with the draw and the match fished the usual three hours 10.00am - 1.00pm. While the boys and girls were setting up Frank and myself went to collect the all important food and drink from our local supermarket. As we returned the all-in had just been sounded.
As is often the case with our Junior leagues it was a close run league and there was some friendly sibling rivalry between Kieran and Leon who both had chance of winning the league amongst others.
The pool fished well today with everyone catching, most using maggot although pellet and sweetcorn were also in use.
After three hours and a ready supply of bacon, sausage, burgers and pop, the match was over and Alan and James did the weigh-in.
The results you can see below, thanks to all twenty of our Juniors who fished at various times throughout this league and well done to the nine who fished today, well done to David for winning the match and congratulations to Kieran who is the overall winner for the Junior Summer League 2015.
Presentation of trophies and prizes takes place at our annual presentation evening which this year takes place on Friday 9th October at Roosters Club, Warrington. Looking forward to seeing our members and families there for a fun filled evening, our hot buffet and of course the awards. It all starts at 7.30pm. Under 18's have free entry, parents and over 18's it's only £5 and you get a buffet included. Hope to see you there.
Just before we finish, we say goodbye to Juniors Ethan Neary and Alex Donaldson (who missed today), this was their last Junior match, as next year they are to old so we hope to see them again fishing our Senior matches!
