A turnout of twenty six anglers duly arrived at 8am for this the fifth of seven matches in this year's Summer League.
Many dined in the cafe for breakfast whilst others mingled around waiting for the draw which took place at 8.30am.
The weather today stayed fair with majority of grey sky with the odd hint of blue sky and sun, air temperature got up to about 18 degrees. The breeze got up as the day went by but nothing too bad, more importantly the rain stayed away.
Following the draw match time was set for 10.30 - 3.30 and today Roly yet again drew Golden Peg, and again failed, although we let him off as he hasn't been too good lately, so it was great to see him fishing.
Nothing major to report, the pool was very peggy and many failed to weigh-in.
Did hear a few whinges from anglers about the venue, but as we reitterate we book the venue we can't book the fish, venues are booked over twelve months ahead, so we ain't mind readers of how venues will fish twelve months ahead of the match, and finally on this point the venues are selected by voting process which match anglers take part in, so effectively you are masters of your own destiny. Point made, rant over.
Match results can be seen below, our next match is in two weeks times and is our final coach trip this year which is to Tunnel Barn Farm in Warwickshire. For those of you fishing that match, we'll see you soon.
See you on a match soon.
