Second of our three 'Sizzlers', tonight wasn't quite a sizzler, the match took place under grey skies and a temperature starting at a pleasant 18 degree's but as the evening progressed diminished to 14 degree's a blustery wind and a fine shower to soak everyone during the weigh-in for good measure!
Twenty one members turned out this evening and arrived for the 4pm draw. The pool being pegged by James Bryan using the same numbers as last time, peg 4 to 42 missing a peg each time, with exception that peg 13 was added to accomodate a late arrival.
Whilst all but two anglers weighed in the going was tough, although some hefty beasts came out with Neil Turner having two fish in total one of them was likely to have been touching the 13lb mark.
Bait predominantly was corn or pellet and generally the pole was favoured although a few went on the rod from time to time.
We fished our usual 4 hour evening match from 5pm till 9 and with grey skies the weigh-in was nearly conducted under torchlight, but we managed without.
Well done to everyone who fished and good to see Juniors on the match including Adam H, Ethan, Alex, Kieran, Leon and Morgan, all putting in respectable performances against the 'old men'.
Our last 'sizzler' is on 21st July here at Meadow View, before that we have a JUnior match at Brownlee's on 6th July and a Senior match at Hampton Springs on 13th July. Look forward to seeing you on a match soon.
That's it for now,
See you all soon......Tightlines.....
