Second coach trip of the Summer saw us cross the Pennines and into South Yorkshire to Lindholme.
We started with a delay as 'young Brian' our coach driver had a technical issue with his alarm clock, which meant we were running about 30 minutes behind. Wasn't too critical today as we were having breakfast at the fishery so we didn't have to stop off elsewhere which saved some time.
We arrived for 8.30am and everyone disappeared to get breakfast, buy bait and have a stroll round the fishery. Twenty members fished the match which was generally under sunny skies and a nice warm day with a light breeze, with one thunderstorm during the match which didn't result in much rain.
The draw took place and the match fished from 10.30am until 3.30pm, our usual five hour duration match.
It has to be said the venue didn't live up to expectations or our hopes.
Although everyone caught the weights were decidedly average.
Fortunately today nobody decided to go for a swim, so that was a relief.
The match drew to a close and the weigh-in was done by Alan and James.
You can see the full results below thanks to everyone who fished and congratulations to all, in particular our top three of Neil, Colin and Alan.
Commiseartions to Peter who drew Golden Peg today, yet again it remains elusive. Surely someone has got to win the £200 soon ????
As this was a coach trip it was off for beer and food, today we were hosted by the White Bear Pub in Epworth, Doncaster. Thanks to Pauline and the gang who fed and watered us, the food was excellent (especially my Stir Fry).
After the usual sing song on the coach travelling back, we all went our own merry ways and thats it for another match. The next is on Saturday 18th August where we have a car trip to Cudmore.
Look forward to seeing you there.
See you all soon......Tightlines.....
