First of our Junior Summer matches, and it was very little like Summer today with Heavy Rain, a stiff breeze and not very warm to start with as members met at 9.00am this morning.
Nine Juniors braved the weather with a few we knew were on holiday so not bad. People with sense probably would have stopped in bed, but not our tough Juniors.
The draw took place at 9.15am and the match fished from 10.00am until 1.00pm. Whilst everyone was setting up, Frank and Paul disappeared to Asda to stock up on pop, bacon, sausage, burgers and buns.
Majority of anglers caught today with bait being maggot, corn and pellet. A few nice Tench and Crucians came out along with Roach. As the day progressed the rain and wind eased but the temperature dropped to about 10 degree's which had a few people dithering.
As is usual on our matches Ken our chef was on hand to feed everyone including parents, brothers and general passers by! (Thanks Ken).
All-Out was at 1.00pm with match referee 'Roly' on hand to do the weigh-in.
As you can see all the results are below. Well done to our top three and to all the anglers who braved it today, along with Mum's and Dad's and Helpers.
