Today we were again on our own waters at Brownlee's, and the weather God's were on our side with a pleasant 20 degrees, some sunny intervals and very little breeze.
We started with a presentation, as Darren Birch our NW Regional Officer for the Angling Trust came along to present us with our ClubMark award.
We achieved this in February 2011 but this was the first opportunity to present it at one of our Junior matches, so thanks to Darren, for travelling down to see us and doing the honours.
Due to holidays we had a small contingent of seven fishing today and following the draw we got underway 10 minutes early at 9.50am.
Angela (Tom's Mum) was on hand once again to run the BBQ and supply us with Bacon butties and Burgers. Our new BBQ worked fine (phew).
Most anglers were quick to catch after the start, but it soon slowed and fishing was slow throughout, probably affected by the deluge of rain we had yesterday which would have cooled the water down considerably. Roach and an ocassional Tench made an appearance.
'All out' was at 1.00pm and the good news was everyone caught.

It's a short break now for the holiday period and we next fish on Wednesday 22nd August where we will be at our second commercial fishery for this season's Junior League, Meadow View at Lymm. Members can either meet at Brownlee's at 9.00am or at Meadow View for 9.30am.
