What was supposed to be a heatwave today didn't materialise although eventually it did get up to about 23 degrees. We had a couple of showers but the weather being mainly dull and overcast was ideal for fishing. Shame someone didn't tell the fish. Pool 1 didn't perform today, the fish were there but in general were not interested. We had four members who didn't weigh in today, either through not catching or having very little, so you can see it was tough.
Those that did catch caught on various baits from pellet, corn, worm, meat, no one bait seemed to work the magic, nor did being up in the water or anywhere else for that matter.
We had a great turnout again today with 24 members fishing of which 2 were Juniors, Ethan Neary and Tom Dulson, both did well with Ethan finishing fourth and Tom twelfth.
Adam had Golden Peg today and whilst he didn't win, he still managed a creditable 7th place, but "The Curse" continues.
Today the Cudmore Kid was James Bryan with 33lb 8oz, second was Stephen Tatlock with 29lb 12oz and third Mike Roylance with 25lb 10oz. Well done and also thanks to all the members that fished today.
Our next match is our third and final coach trip for 2012 and it's on 1st September where we are off to Solhampton in deepest darkest Worcestershire. Look forward to seeing you there or on another match soon.
See you all soon......Tightlines.....
