Fourth Summer match and we were in Staffordshire today at Heronbrook Fisheries.
A short report as your papperazzi sadly missed this match due to other commitments (Haydock Park Races). He says sadly as he missed one of our members taking a dive into the water.
Yes, today Colin was practicing his olympic dive! Joking aside, apart from cold smelly water, he was perfectly OK except the abuse he got for the remainder of the match. Colin now answers to the name Flipper!
The weather held off today, the light rain promised was very light with only a few spots landing.
Nineteen members fished today and eveyone had an enjoyable day starting with breakfast in the cafe. All-In was at 10.00am and the match fished till 3.00pm. Congratulations to our top three Alan, James and Flipper, well done to everyone, see you at the next match at Weston Pools on 20th August.
Commiserations to Bill who was the unfortunate who drew the Golden Peg today.
Well done to Paul Muir, one of our new club members and in his first league match finished in a creditable 6th place.
