Our penultimate Winter league match (so soon I hear you say).
Bit of a historic day today with Club Chairman winning his first match in this millennium, not only that he drew Golden Peg and won £200, not a bad day for "Frankie Boy!".
Eleven members turned out today for this match at Partridge Lakes.
Yet again we were blessed with good weather, blue skies, a temperature of about 8°C and a light wind blowing across the lake.
Most enjoyed a breakfast from the cabin before the match started, the draw took place and the match fished from 10:00am - 3:00pm. Unfortunately your papperazzi and webmaster was busy doing his kitchen, but after receiving a text on his phone to say bring £200 with him henearly fell off his steps!
I returned in time for the weigh-in and as is customary we let the Chairman sweat by weighing him in last (cruel but fun).
At last, his weight was recorded and with a haul of 22lb 8oz he duly won the match and went away £200 better off. He will have to spend some of that as he broke a section pulling a fish in (shame I hear you say). Congratulations to everyone who fished, our next and final Winter League match for 2010 takes place at Meadow View on Saturday 4th December, look forward to seeing you there for our end of year bash...
