Second of three Sunday evening matches took place today at Meadow View. The weather wasn't so much of a Summer sizzler, more of a Summer drizzler. However after a couple of hours it pretty much dried up.
Eleven members made it this evening, others unfortunately having work commitments.
As last week some good chunky fish were caught, James Bryan having a 15lb 4oz Carp, Neil Turner and Mike Lewis both netted 11lb 8oz lumps. Mike unfortunately broke his landing nett getting his 11 pounder in!
Strangely, this week the fish seemed to be up the other end of the pool and more skittish than last week. Having said that everyone caught and an enjoyable evening was had by all.
Well done to Neil T, James and Neil D for their 1st, 2nd and 3rd spot.
A special mention to John who only fished for two and a half hours as he had to get back from Manchester after successfully completing his Level 2 coaching course still netted 4th spot, and well done to everyone for another sporting match.
There is a bit of a break until the third and final Summer Evening match, as we have Saturday Senior and Junior matches to get through. But we return here to Meadow View on Sunday 25th of July for our third match, look forward to seeing you there and all forthcoming matches...
