Second of our Winter matches and it was a cool sunny day with a temperature of about 7 degrees and an occasional breeze. Today we were on Pool 1 at Lathom Fishery.
Holidays and work saw only 12 anglers fish today.
Slight delay whilst we waited for the cafe to open, then it was a full english then the draw.
Today the Golden Peg was drawn by Mike Lewis who really was cursed today with a finishing weight of 4 ounces. So again, no pay out.
Suprisingly we had a slight sprinkling of rain which was not forecast at lunchtime but nothing major, and the sun came out again shortly afterwards.
The island caused a few nightmares with several people losing feeders and rigs in the vegetation, the price you pay for getting tight to the bank. Joe Fagan was sporting a new pole today and it seems to suit him well as he came a creditable 7th place.
Due to some fancy footwork Chairman Frank managed to break his pole in the same place as he had broken it previously! There are photo's in the gallery which show his dismay.
The match started at 10:00am and finished at 3:00pm.
Well done to everyone who fished today, we do it all again in a couple of weeks time at Blundell's Farm. Hope to see you there... |
