Third of five Junior matches this year and today we were on a commercial fishery in deepest darkest Culcheth.
The weather was excellent at about 25 degrees and a warm southerly breeze.
Eleven junior members joined us today, everyone was so keen we started the match early at 10.20am and fished until 2.00pm.
As is the norm here, we couldn't have a barbeque so Chairman and Secretary disappeared to get nineteen bags of chips, which were enjoyed by all, along with pop to quench the thirst!
Everyone caught which was great and senior members along with our coach John were on hand to help when required. We also had a few dads/grandads along which was good.
after the 'all-out' at 2.00pm match referee and scalesman Roly leaped into action to officiate the weigh-in.
Below you can see the match results and all the weights, congratulations to Matthew, Art and Callen for their top three places and to all the juniors who took part, we hope you enjoyed it.
Don't forget we are running some coaching sessions which take place at Meadow View during July and August, more details on the news page, or get in touch with us if you want more information.
We also have our quiz night on Friday 23rd July which is being done to raise funds to support our work with Junior members, so help us to help you, come along, bring Mum and Dad, Nan's and Grandads, Aunts and Uncles, everyone welcome. Juniors remember to tell your friends, bring them along to the next match, plenty of people on hand to help with setting up.
