Third of five Winter matches took place today at Blundell's Farm.
Fifteen anglers fought it out today in conditions that were not particularly wintery with an air temperature of about 13 degrees a light South Westerly breeze
and blue skies.
We started on a sad note having announced to the members that Alf Smith, one of the clubs founder members passed away earlier in the week
aged 89.
As a mark of respect we held a one minute silence before the 'all-in' which took place at 10:00am and fishing until 3:00pm.
Golden Peg today was Jim Bates who really was cursed as he blanked today. Better luck next time Jim!
Our Biggest Fish weight has been bumped up today by Kev Smith who landed a 11lb 2oz Carp. No doubt that will probably be beaten before the end of the season in September 2011.
You can see all the results below and you will realise it was quite a tough day, but this is Winter League after all.
The
next match is on 13th November at Partridge Lakes, hope to see you there...
