Deepest darkest Staffordshire and a 50 mile journey to Blake Hall was today's test. What a test it was, although the weather held off and we had a warm day with a slight breeze, conditions were not easy, and only a few pegs managed to get on the Carp with any great success.
The day started off well with the usual good 'full english', some members were delayed due to an accident en route which affected journey times. Thankfully the incident didn't involve any of our members. The delay meant that all-in was at 10.15am with the match finishing five hours later at 3.15pm.
Eighteen members were in attendance which isn't bad as we are at the height of the holiday season.
Joe Fagan was the unlucky recipient of the cursed Golden Peg and condemned Joe to 10th place, so the money continues to role up.
Today's top three were Adam, Ken and Neil, well done to them and to all the members that fished today.
We have three matches left in our Summer League, where has the Summer gone? The next match is a coach trip to Larford Lakes on Arena Pool on Saturday 21st August, can't wait for that, hope to see you there...
