Third in our five match Winter series, and today we were at Lloyd's Meadow on the edge of Delamere Forest.
Glorious weather yet again with blue skies for most of the day, no breeze to speak of and temperature was a balmy 16 degrees Celsius.
A good Winter turnout with eighteen members fishing the match. Good to see our friend George Osborne joining us and having a good result today.
Someone else having a good result and fishing his first match was Junior member Liam Lynskey. Doing the Juniors proud today with a weight of 9lb 8oz and finishing in a respectable 8th position. Well done Liam. Another Junior member fishing today was Josh Waring who also had an enjoyable day.
Golden Peg today was Josh's Grandad Roy Sutton, and he like many others before him fell foul of 'the curse', which left him in 11th place today. What a day to be cursed, on Halloween!
As you may gather from the weights below, the top half dozen manages to bag some Carp, whilst the majority had to put up with Roach and Perch. Having said that there were some nice size Perch caught today.
Our penultimate match for Winter see's us at Rosemary Wood on Island Pool. That match takes place on 14th November. We will be meeting at the Tyrol Hotel at 7am for those unsure of the way, see you on the 14th, and well done to everyone today for another sporting match with the usual friendly banter.
