Start of a new year and the start of our Winter League.
The first match took place on a lovely Winter's day at Lathom Fishery near Burscough. We arrived at 8.00am under blue skies and sun with a light mist across the water and no wind at all to speak of.
Today fourteen hardy souls turned out, most havin a brekkie in the cafe before we started.
The draw was done and the match fished from 10.00am to 3.00pm. Today's unlucky recipient of the Golden Peg was Bill O'Keefe, and again Bill managed a credible 8th position, but unfortunately not 1st which would have earned him £200.
Everyone caught today using various methods although Maggot seemed to be the favoured bait.
Below you will see the full match details and results.
It's only seven days to the next match which will see us at Partridge Lakes on Spey Canal. Hope to see you all there.....
