New season, new leagues.
Today saw the first in this years Winter League, and suprisingly it was a nice day with only an occasional sprinkle of rain and little breeze to speak of.
A great turn out today with 22 anglers on the pool. This was our first time on the new pools at Partridge Lakes.
We had a new member today, Carl who set out his stall with a fine 6th position with 17lb 14oz, and we had a Junior member fishing a senior match for his first time today and that was Jack. He obviously wasn't overwhelmed by the occasion as he had a very creditable 8th place with 15lb 0oz. Well done Jack!
With small F1's being the order of the day, it was a frenzied catch rate to get the weights today. The first hour was busy with various baits being successful, Pellet, Caster, Sweetcorn and Maggot all did well. Then it died for a while, time for a rethink and then back on the fish.
Well done to everyone today, hard luck to Paul Roby who was cursed with the Golden Peg today.
Our next match is on 25th October at Hampton Springs, hope to see you there..
