Last match in this years Winter League saw us at a rather parky but sunny Bridgewater Canal, on the section known as "The Toast Rack" due to the shape of the nearby canal bridge.
Fourteen brave souls arrived on the Walton Arms Pub car park for todays match.
As it was the last match everyone got a seasonal selection box and we had a draw for a free 2009 club licence and a free 2009 coach trip. The lucky winners were Frank Davies and Mike Lewis respectively.
On with the match and 'lucky' Frank got the Golden Peg and all-in was at 9.30am.
After 5 hours suprisingly we had no blankers which is suprisingly good for us on 'The Bridgy'.
Unsuprisingly the Golden Peg was not won, with Frank only managing 9th place today.
Congratulations to Neil Davies who has won this years Winter League by a country mile on 64 Points with the next best on 38 points.
Thanks to everyone who took part we can all have a rest now until April 2009 when the Spring League kicks off, hope to see you all there.
After the match we all went to the Walton Arms for a very welcome Carvery.
Finally may we wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
