We are now getting to the nitty gritty of this year's Junior League.
After this match, we only have the Whitegate Pool match on Saturday 1st September. Anybody in the current top ten after today could be in with a chance of winning the league, so it is all to play for.
Today's match was fished in ideal conditions with the sun shining for most of the time and a temperature edging towards the mid 20's, we bet a few may realise they have a suntan after today, a pleasant breeze picked up later to keep thing s bearable, except for those with poles who were not so happy.
It was great to see that everyone caught, and another good turn out of 19 Junior Members fished.
We again had the pleasure of a chippy lunch which kept everyone going, and a drink of pop which was much needed.
All sorts were caught today, Carp, Skimmers, Roach, Tench. Many of the weights were also close, so ounces made a difference.
Many thanks to our helpers today, Mike, Ian, Frank Taffy and Paul.
Mike Davies would probably not want to thank Mike Snr as his attempt at netting his fish ended in disaster when Mike Snr dislodged the hook from the fish before it was landed, and it got away! Although Mike Snr was useful in removing snagged rigs from the reeds.
That's it for another match, see you all at Whitegate on 1st September.
