An excellent turn out of 16 Junior members to fish this our second match of the 2006 Junior League.
The weather was kind, and cooler at about 19°C, a great day for fishing.
It was good to see new faces joining us, and from the feedback we had, there are more members expected at future matches.
Thanks again to Ken for cooking, all the burgers and sausages were eaten, so they must be OK!
The winner by a mile today was Dan Gore, well done Dan..
Dan caught two Carp within the first half an hour, followed shortly after that with an Eel. From one extreme to another!
We think that Dan has broken the record for the highest weight caught on Brownlee's in a Junior match. Certainly in recent years.
Congratulations to everyone who fished, don't forget if you need any assistance at a match (although we can't fish for you), just ask any of the senior members who are available. The aim is to pass advise on to you, and give encouragement, so if in doubt, ask.
The news should have also got through that we have all Junior matches booked for this season, if you go to the matches page on this website you can see where you need to be and when for future matches.
We hope you can join us, it looks like it will be a close season. Both Hannah and John will be absent from the next match, so it gives everyone else the chance to gain points on them.
Don't forget, you get points just for fishing the match!
