Penultimate Winter league match today and it was more like Winter, a light breeze from the West coming up Parbold Hill to where we were and it was quite nippy!
Air temperature on arrival was about one degree celsius and it never got above four degrees all day. We were however lucky in that the forecast rain wasn't anywhere near what was predicted, a few spots in the first couple of hours anda decent shower in the last hour of the match.
As agreed at the AGM earlier in the week, we have agreed that draw now takes place at 9.00am with nor requirement to arrive for 8.00am, but ensure you pay match monies in by 8.45am. That all worked well this morning, so hopefully continues in that vein.
Skies were overcast all day and a light ripple across the water, with the exception of around peg 25 where it was quite still being shaded from wind by hedgerow.
Thirteen anglers made the trip today, Chris drew out Golden Peg and picked his own peg number! Unfortunately the good luck stopped there.
As you will see from the results below, the bulk of the weight caught spanned across three pegs (13, 15 & 17). Well done to all who fished, congrats to Mark, John and Rob, commiserations again to Chris on having Golden Peg our famous curse.
Our final match and our Fur & Feather match takes place in two weeks on Covey 5 at Partridge Lakes (23/11/19), hope to see you there
