Excellent turn out for our inaugural match in our brand new midweek league.
What a fantastic turnout we had with fifteen anglers turning up at 8.00am today at Partridge Lakes under blue skies, couldn't have asked for a better start to this new league.
Also great to see a good mix of our match anglers and also our pleasure anglers stepping up to this match format, always good to se more of our club members.
We were originally booked on Ribbon but with the numbers we had, Mel and Nellie from Partridge Lakes accomodated us on Ribbon and Marsh to give our members a better match, and indeed it did. Thanks Mel and Nellie and all the crew at Partridge, you never fail us!
Given that yours truly had to work (boo hiss), we left all the weigh-in stuff with Tony and Rob, and Tony was timelord today having responsibility for clocking the match, which fished 10.00 - 3.00.
Briefly mentioned the weather before, it was almost a Summer's day with blue skies and air temperature getting to about 16 degree's Centigrade (
61 degree's Fahrenheit).
Your's truly managed to get back to Partridge in time for the weigh-in, carried out by Rob along with Jon Green who managed to get there in time.
As you can see we had two matches as that was the fairest way to run the match, and pools money was paid out on top two off each lake.
Below you can see the results, thanks to all who fished today, also to those who officiated (Tony, Rob, Jon), finally to all the team at Partridge, for an excellent venue as always and for accomodating us.
Next midweek match is at Blundell's Farm in two weeks on 17th May where we will be fishing on Pine Lake, look forward to seeing you there.
See you all soon......Tightlines.....
