The third and final match in this year's Spring League took place today at Lloyd's Meadow on the new 'Badger Pool'.

Probably what you would call a typical Spring day with Sunshine, Showers, and on some exposed pegs around the pool a gusty breeze which made life difficult.
It had to be said that the final match weights were not impressive with 11lb 7oz being the winning weight.
The condition of the fish caught was also commented on with many of the Carp having sores on them.
The match passed with little incident, and so the Spring League was complete, today's match winner was Ste Hughes with 11lb 7oz and this match was also for the Committee Shield which he will receive at the annual Presentation Night in October.
Congratulations also to second and third place Alan Lamb and Mike Lewis.
Alan was also the unfortunate soul to get the Golden Peg on this match, and again it wasn't won......Maybe next time!
