The third match in a series of five for this year's Winter League took place at Dunham Fishery today. The weather started cool and wet, but against the weathermans predictions of heavy rain and high winds, the sun came out and clear skies appeared.
Your photographer and papperazzi disappeared for a few hours on 'wedding photo' duty, but reappeared with an hour to go. All the members trying to winkle out a few fish.
We keep saying this in every report, but the curse of the golden peg continues. Ian Armstrong who has won golden peg three times in five matches, and again it has eluded him!
Funnily enough he drew peg one and the golden peg at Lloyds Meadow a few weeks ago, with similar results.
We must pass on our thanks to Karen and James for looking after us at Dunham especially as they supplied us with Tea, Coffee and Kit Kats.
Hearty congratulations to Tom Prescott in only his second match with the club, he had the winning formula today with a weight of 21lb 6oz, second was Ian with 19lb 2oz and third Ken Whibley with 14lb 14oz. Congratulations to one and all, hope to see you at the Fur and Feather match on the Bridgewater Canal on Saturday 9th December.
