It might be bonfire night and we have let our own firework off, yes we have joined Twitter as eagle eyed members may have seen at the foot of our home page.
If you are on Twitter and it seems like everyone is, just search @pohas1 and there we are, tweet tweet!
Quick apology to our Winter league match anglers. We forgot to award points correctly on first match at Charity Farm which was spotted when updating yesterday's match results from Rosemary Wood.
Our Winter League scores from 10 points down to 1 point for top ten places and also each angler gets one point for fishing, so the winner receives 11 points and so on down, until 11th place onwards gets just 1 point for fishing.
We forgot to add on this one point to each angler, which has since been corrected in latest published leagues.
So when viewing the Winter League, please take note of this amendment.
This does not affect Matchman as that only runs on 10 points down to 1 point for any match in any league (Winter, Spring, Summer only). Any other leagues, eg Winter Drizzlers, Summer Sizzlers are not included in Matchman League.
Hope this clears things up!

Otherwise we have a lot of drinking to do Thanks in advance.
10th June 2013 - Here's one we made earlier!
Readers of our website and in particular our last match report for our Junior match on Brownlee's on 8th June will have heard mention of our new aerator.
It's a design passed on to us by our friends at the Environment Agency, and is based upon the venturi effect. We can vouch for the design and it's cheap and more importantly excellent if you need to inject more oxygen in to your water to benefit your fish.
Click Here to see The EA construction Video on YouTube. Or view our aerator in action below.
If we can help, if you have any questions, get in touch.

Well done to Junior club members Ste Clark, Alex Donaldson and Ethan Neary who fished for us in a county match at Border Fishery today. All three put in great performances and were battling against 38 other Juniors from clubs across the county and beyond.
Luckily it stayed dry, but the wind was making conditions difficult across large parts of Meridian Pool.
Well done to all and to Ethan who won the match with 10lb 6oz. See you on the next match.
Any other Juniors interested, see our website and get in touch with us
You can see more information and a video blog on CADG website

15th March 2013 - Spring League - Partridge Lakes (18/05/13)
We are pleased to be able to advise that our match at Partridge Lakes on 18th May has now been moved to Covey 6 instead of Pine Canal.
As many of you will be aware, due to the increased demand for match pegs, we have outgrown Pine and now thanks to Dave Ikin of Partridge Lakes we are on the 45 Peg Covey 6 one of the new pools being opened in 2013. We are the first club match on the lake!
Many thanks to Dave for this, and i'm sure all of our anglers will enjoy the venue and the fishing.
15th March 2013 - "Take a Friend Fishing Campaign"
As mentioned earlier this month, the Environment Agency along with 'partner clubs, of which we are one are running a campaign from 30th March - 7th April to take a friend fishing and give them a taster day.
It's easy to do, firstly the angler must hold a valid club licence and also a valid EA Rod Licence which must when requested by an official of either the club and/or the EA be shown when asked whilst fishing on either of our pools.
Either the angler or "the friend" needs to download a voucher from the TAFF website and then validate it on line at the same website. You can then take your friend for a free days fishing within the above week and he/she must be accompanied by the club member. You will also need to download a copy of the Day Ticket Voucher and keep that with you along with the Rod Licence Voucher.
* Validate Rod Licence Voucher at TAFF Website before use.
7th March 2013 - CADG Junior Matches 2013
Invitation to all Junior members we are again taking part in the Cheshire Angling Development Group Junior League 2013 and taking on other Cheshire based Clubs. Last year was the first event run on a team basis, this year it is being done on an individual basis with any of our Junior members representing our club.
All the dates and venues are on the Junior match page. If you are interested in fishing these matches, please get in touch with Frank or Paul, contact details are on our contact us page.
There are some great prizes to be won at each match and it is a fun day out where you will meet like minded Juniors from other clubs and get to fish on waters not normally available, so if you are interested, get in touch, do it now, of course ask your parents to get in touch and we can explain in more detail.
7th March 2013 - "Take a Friend Fishing Campaign"
"Take A Friend Fishing" (TAFF) is a campaign where anglers of the UK are being encouraged to take a person who they feel would benefit from a day's fishing. We are awaiting further details to come through but we have expressed our interest as a club to take part in this event. From our perspective it would work that valid club members could take a friend along as a taster for a day on one of our waters during the campaign period which is 30th March to 7th April, completely free of charge. We believe a voucher scheme will be put in place that each "friend" has to complete or the angler taking the friend has to complete on-line, this then acts as the friends Rod Licence for that day. The accompanying angler would need to hold a valid club licence and also a valid Rod Licence, both of which would need to be available to view on the day by either a club official and/or an EA Officer. For additional days of course normal rules apply, ie, club membership and a valid Rod Licence (if you are aged 12 or over) for everyone.
This is a great idea to give others a taste of our great sport.
Once we have full and final details we will of course publish here on our website.
By clicking on the photo you can visit the Take a friend fishing website to see further details.

Our new 2013/14 club licence will be required by all members if you wish to continue fishing our waters from 16th March 2013.

Even better for Juniors, as yet again your Summer series of matches will again be free of charge for you to enter, food and drinks provided at each match and a chance to get your hands on some goodies when you attend our annual Presentation Night, this year being held on Friday 4th October.
To make life even easier you can now pre-order your new licence on line from the comfort of your armchair, and the licence full of great information on our club, match dates and events etc would be winging it's way to you week commencing 4th March in readiness for the new season.
To get yours now, visit our shop page and after a few clicks, your licence will be one step nearer to you.
