Last Summer match today with eighteen making the trip to Heronbrook.
Weather forecast wasn't the best, however turned out not as bad as first thought, a couple of rain showers but nothing major, although a brisk breeze affected some of the pegs.
Air temperature got up to about 18 degree's when we had a sunny period.
After a breakfast, Alan and James sorted the pegging, draw completed and match was to fish 10.30 - 3.30. Geoff Burgess was the recipient of the cursed Golden Peg today.
At the end of the match, most anglers were disappointed with weights, and to be fair the pools have been heavily fished recently, so that wasn't going to help matters.
Colin spent most of the day walking around the pool retrieving pieces of fishing equipment which consisted mainly of his fishing pole in several pieces! Like he said, he fished a four hour match.
Rob brought his son Reece along, who had a great time fishing and catching a few fish, well done Reece!
You can see results below, well done to all, in particular our top three of Alan, Dave and Mark, hard luck Geoff hwo with the curse of the GP ended up in fifteenth place.
That's the last match for Summer and for this the 2018-19 season, winners names can be found in the appropriate leagues, so well done gents.
Our next club match is Tuesday 3rd September at Dunham, which is the next in the Midweek League, after that our 2019-20 season starts with our Winter League (can you believe it already), that begins on Saturday 21st September when we are at Old Hough.
Look forward to seeing you on a match soon.
