Best match of the year it has to be said. Weather was glorious blue skies with intermittent cloud, very little breeze although it picked up just slightly later in the day, and air temerature got up to the mid twenties.
Twenty three members made the trip today and after breakfast in the cafe and a leisurely draw, the match fished 10.30 - 3.30, with all members obeying the three net rule and drying out of nets behind peg prior to match (that is bar one person who shall remain nameless).
Pellet and meat was the favoured bait today and we had a total exceeding 1,200lb caught today which is nigh on 40% of the weight caught to date in this year's Summer League.
Golden Peg today was Mark 'Butch' Whiteside who had a decent day finishing in third spot, but not enough to take the £200 Golden Peg money, oh for another 15lb eh Mark.
Bad luck to Rob who got one of his pole sections broke when the wind got up, felled his pole rest which crashed down on his pole.
Tony Savage knobbled by Chariman Frank who forgot to bring Tony's bait (Caster).
You can see the results below, well done to Jon Green who won and also beat his personal best, so to did Mike Roylance in second with his 94lb 4oz.
Next match and penultimate for this Summer is in two weeks on 20th August at Baden Hall, hope to see you there.
