Last match in this first ever Midweek League and fair to say this league has been a fantastic success and thanks go to all the anglers who have supported the league since it started back in May.
Coming into this last match it was close on points between Marc Fearnley and Peter Newton, this final match would decide the winner.
Due to numbers the match was split onto two pools, so we ran two matches being the only fair way to do it.
The five hour match took it's course and below you can see all the results, congratulations to today's winners Mick Astbury on Ribbon and Jonathan Green on Marsh.
Following todays match we can reveal that Peter Newton is the winner of the 2016 Midweek League with a total of 76 points followed by Marc in second place with 73 points.
Thanks again to all who have fished the league, to those who have helped out on matches, particularly Marc with the weigh-ins and to the fisheries that have hosted the matches. We will do it all again in 2017.
