The third and final 'sizzler' for this year took place yesterday at Meadow View.
Weather for this final match was sunny and under blue skies, started with a breeze then it calmed as the evening progressed.
Thirteen anglers attended today with Ken being half hour late due to other commitments.
Alan and James as usual sorted the pegging, the draw took place on time at 4pm with the match fishing from 5pm - 9pm.
All anglers caught although you will see below some 'DNW's' who were members choosing not to weigh-in.
Our Chairman Frank must've got bored fishing as he decided to catch a duck which along with it's Mother screamed the place down until it was safely released. Spectating with Frank today was past member and past Club Secretary Joe Worseley who dropped by to say hello, "Good to see you Joe". Mark 'Butch' Whiteside smashed the tip of his rod, but managed a repair and went on to finish in second place.
Ken although arriving 30 minutes late to set up still achieved third place in the match.
Most anglers switched between pole and rod during the course of the evening and our eventual winner Alan caught many of his down the side which is a rarity here on Lark Pool.
The match came to a close and the results you can see below, well done to Alan for winning and getting 108+lb in the match, he also takes the Sunday Summer Sizzler League for 2015.
Thanks to all those who fished this series, we have booked again for next year, so if you fancy a good way to finish a weekend, look out for the match dates for 2016.
Our next regular Summer match for our Seniors takes place on Saturday 1st August at Highfield Fishery up in Lancashire, so for those of you on that match, we'll see you there.
