Massive turnout of thirty anglers today for our Summer match at Hampton Springs.
Even the weather turned up with blue skies, light breeze and temperatures touching twenty seven degree's, a true Summer match!
The match was the usual five hour duration and started at 10.00am finishing at 3.00pm.
Up in the water seemed favourite and various baits, our winner Mark Whiteside hammered it down the side for the last two hours on multiple dead red maggot (so i'm told??). Our third place man Neil Davies managed to break his number four section hauling in one of his catch which netted him 55lb 4oz.
Golden Peg today was John Osborne who managed to finish in the top third of the field with 23lb 4oz, but not enough to secure him the £200. So the curse of the Golden Peg continues.
We welcomed new member Andy Kennedy today who on his first time out reached fifth place with 29lb 14oz, well done Andy welcome to the club!

Our next Summer League match is on 2nd August and is the second of our three coach trips this year. The next being to Moorlands Farm, so hope to see you on that.

The next match is our last Summer Sizzler which takes place at Meadow View next Sunday 20th July. Draw is at 4pm and we fish 5pm - 9pm.
