Second Junior match for this season saw us in Irlam at Moss Side Farm on Canal Pool.
Ten anglers made the trip and the weather was kind being slightly overcast for most of the day and generally a light breeze.
The pool was pegged by Match Referee Paul 'Roly' Rowlands and netsman James Bryan.
After the draw, everyone tackled up and the match ran the usual three hour period starting at 10.20am and finishing at 1.20pm.
As is usual our Chef Angela (aka Tom's Mum) was on hand to supply everyone with Bacon Butties, Sausage Butties and Burgers.
Good news was everyone caught today, all anglers fished the pole and baits varied from maggot, pellet, Sweetcorn, Meat etc.
No really big Carp today but a nice spread of fish, Roach, Crucians, Bream and even Golden Orfe, two of which helped Leon win the match.
Well done to all who fished today especially top three of Leon, Matt and Jude. Great job by Jude in only his second match with us, keep it up Jude!
You will see from the league that it is still very close with three anglers on thirty points and split only by weight caught and that difference is only just over three and a half pounds.
Thanks to all the parents for bringing the Juniors along and some who stayed on, not sure if that was for our great company or Ange's cooking (I assume the latter). Thanks also to all of our adult members who helped, assisted and coached, couldn't do it without you.
Our next Junior match is only a week away at our Brownlee's Pool, look forward to seeing you there.
