Very brief report today as your papperazzi was only there for a short time.
Today's match should have been fished on our Whitegate Pool, but after a midweek inspection the water level was deemed too low to allow keepnets, so we hastily changed the venue to our Brownlee's Pool.
We welcomed a new Junior member to our match today in Joshua Charnock and in total along with Josh we had nine fishing today's match.
The match fished it's usual three hour duration and we had our BBQ on hand supplying Bacon, Sausage, Burgers and even some Chicken today!
Thanks to our chef Alan who was off work this morning from his day job (also cheffing, sorry Al).
Weather wasn't too bad today, but the fishing was tough.
After the all out, the weigh-in was completed and the results were in.
Well done to all the Juniors who fished today and on our other Junior matches throughout the Summer, in particular well done to our top three in today's match Ethan (1st), Alex (2nd) and to Josh on his first match with us with an excellent 3rd place.
Thanks must also go to Senior member Pete Mahoney who's lads also fished today and Pete got some prizes off Bait Tech for our top four so thanks to Bait Tech and Pete from everyone at POHAS and also to Pete for bringing along loads of maggots for our Juniors to fish with, much appreciated by all.
That's it for this Summer for our Juniors, the league is now complete and Ethan is declared the winner with a total of 89 points, closeley followed by Alex on 86 points and in third place in his first season Jude on 64 points.
It has been another close season as is often the case.
We look forward to seeing you all for Prize Night at Roosters Club on Friday 4th October where we will have our usual fun, games, raffles, prizes and our hot buffet to keep you all fed.
