Second Junior match and today we were at Moss Side Farm on Canal Pool.
The weather was fairly kind today with sunshine and showers with more sunshine than showers for once!
We had ten of our Juniors fishing and everyone was ready to start by 10.30am so they had an extra 30 minutes as 'all-out' was arranged for 2.00pm.
We had our new chef on hand today aka Angela (Tom's Mum), what a fantastic job she did. Many thanks to Angela and her sandwich shop (Woody Delicious) for providing the food for everyone.
Also as we are in 'thanking mode', thanks also to Ken Bates the owner of Moss Side Farm for letting us have our Junior match on his pool. It's not the norm as he doesn't usually have matches on Canal Pool, so much appreciated Ken, and see you on 29th June 2013 and we'll do it all again.
The pool fished well today with everyone catching on an assortment of baits from maggot, sweetcorn, pellet, worm etc.
Below you can see who caught what. Congratulations to all our Juniors and of course to the top three of Ethan, Ollie and Tom.
We also have a biggest fish (so far) caught by Ed with a 3lb 13oz 4dram Carp, will that be enough for a trophy at our Prize Night in October? Will it be beaten? Three more matches to go, we'll have to wait to find out.
The next match is only a week away on Brownlee's Pool and as ever in our Junior League the points are close and everything to fish for. See you at Brownlee's on 7th July, meet at 9.00am, draw at 9.15am and fish 10.00am until 1.00pm.
