Reasonable weather today mainly sunny with a light breeze, and a very occasional shower, warm at about 17 degrees.
Another good turnout with 25 members fishing today.
We all arrived at 8.00am and had a breakfast in the cafe before doing the draw. All-in was agreed at 10.00am and the match fished until 3.00pm.
It seems we can't have a match without some incident and today was no exception. Tom managed to snap his pole playing a Carp and just after the match finished, Kev Smith took a dive into the pool while cleaning his bait boxes.....At least both he and his bait boxes were clean after the untimely dip.
Luckily for Kev, our papperazzi was on other duties today so wasn't on hand to catch the action (damn).
Back to the fishing and everyone caught, we had no blankers today.
The match was won by the 'Lamimator', Alan who caught his fish on worm and caster, and most others were using pellet.
A special mention for Tom other than breaking his pole, he is one of our Junior members and did well today with a weight of 20lb giving him 12th place.
Golden Peg was safe again with Colin not only cursed with the Golden Peg but also drew peg thirteen.
Well done to everyone who fished the match, especially our top three of Alan, Neil and James. Our next Summer League match is on 4th August which is our second coach trip of the year over the Pennines to Lindholme Lakes.
Look forward to seeing you there.
See you all soon......Tightlines.....
