Last match for our Juniors today for 2011. As tradition dictates we are at our Whitegate Pool for this our last match.
Nine Junior members decided this was the place to be today, the weather although breezy at times was OK and only a few sprinkles of rain which didn't amount to much. It was however quite muggy which would have an affect on the fishing.
The draw took place at 9.15am and the match fished from 10.00am until 1.00pm.
Everyone caught today although mostly silver fish. As this is a home venue we also had the BBQ on hand to supply everyone with bacon butties, hot dogs and burgers. Thanks to chef's Paul & Frank.
Also good to see a few parents and grandparents who I think lingered for the food as well as spectating on their kids! We also had a few members on hand today, Roly, Mike, James, John & Alan who helped out, particularly in the eating food department!
Well done to all of our Juniors who continue to improve this season. Especially Ethan, Oliver and Matthew who grabbed the top three places today and also to Ethan, Matthew and Joe who bagged the top three places in this year's Junior league. Look forward to seeing you all at our Presentation Evening on Friday 7th October.
