First match of our 2010 Summer League was a 52 mile car trip to Oswestry and to Weston Pools.
Breakfast was the first item on the agenda, duly followed by the draw and the match.
Following on from the last Spring match at Partridge Lakes Roy Sutton drew the Golden Peg again which cursed him for another match. He was also geographically challenged having a Mark Thatcher moment by getting lost and not finding his peg. The papperazzi wasn't there today, however sources tell me that Roy was renamed Roy Button as he did a few laps of the pool looking for the correct peg.
Also on the butt end of the jokes today was Adam 'the beast' Hill. Apparently church bells were heard in the distance which sparked off wedding jokes (Sarah if you are reading this it is ONLY A JOKE!)....
Back to the match, and we had nineteen members fish today on a fairly nice day with some sun and an air temperature of about 16 degrees celsius. 'All-In' was at 10.00 and fished until 3.00pm.
Thanks must go to the staff at Weston Pools who served a great breakfast and more importantly the bailiff went to each angler individually and explained the places to fish on each peg....You don't get that service at every fishery, so thanks to Weston Pools for first class service.
That's about it for this report, next match is only a week away and it's our first coach trip of the year and it's to Boddington Reservoir, see you bright and early next saturday 26th June...
