Today we were almost in the heart of Delamere Forest at Lloyds Meadow. The heavy rain forecast mostly missed us although there were a few sharp showers, followed later on by a few sunny intervals and a temperature of about 19 degrees.
Considering a few members were on holiday or working we had a turnout of seventeen members. Roly was the unlucky recipient of the Golden Peg which cursed him into 14th position.
The pool was peggy today however we have gone from warm spells to a few days of rain which would have delivered some cold water into the pool, so who knows what effect that may have had.
Chatting with Kraus the bailiff he told me that the average winning weight over the last couple of weeks was around the 100lb mark.
From what I can gather all baits were put to good use today including corn, meat, pellet, none of them being a clear winner.
All in was at 9.30am fishing thru to 2.30pm.
Below you can see the weights, well done to our top three Neil who had his second win in the Summer League, John who has come 3rd then 2nd in only two matches that he has done in the league and to Kev Smith with his best place so far this summer in 3rd place. Thanks to all members for the usual friendly sporting behaviour, see you all on the next Summer match at Blake Hall on 7th August or for the Sunday evening match on 25th July at Meadow View.
