Today's match saw us in sunny Staffordshire at Cudmore Fishery. Nineteen anglers evaded the dreaded holiday period and made it to Cudmore.
After a healthy 'full English' breakfast we drew the pegs and fished 10.00 til' 3.00pm.
Joe Fagan had the unfortunate 'Golden Peg' today, which as you will see below remained safe for another match.
It was a lovely sunny day with very little breeze and it has to be said in some pegs, very little fish either. There was no consistency across the pool, some caught on maggot, some didn't, some caught on pellet, some didn't, and some with Caster and 'other concoctions'!
We also had a tackle busting day with John Mysiak, Kev Smith and Neil Turner all reporting breakages.
After the match, several members retired to the Mainwaring Arms for a swift 'livener' before the journey home.
Well done to everyone today. Our next and penultimate match for this Summer is at Boddington Reservoir on the 5th September. This is our last coach trip of the year, look forward to seeing your bleary eyes at 5.30am on the 5th.....See you there...
