Well, what an eventful day today was in many ways.
The weather was unusually Summery with blue skies and little breeze for most of the match.
We all arrived at 8.00am for a breakfast in the cafe.
Today we had only 18 members fishing as holiday commitments has kept some away.
All-In was at 10.00am and fishing started slowly for most members with it picked up as the match progressed.
Ian Armstrong drew the Golden Peg which is usually the kiss of death, however today was a memorable day. Ian started catching almost from the off and didn't stop until the all-out at 3.00pm.
Following the weigh-in he was the confirmed match winner and also earned a healthy £200 from the Golden Peg, well done Ian.
Everyone caught today, as it was the first time we had fished here the majority of anglers were impressed with the fishing in pool No 1. Even two of our Junior members who came along and pleasure fished another pool had a great day also.
Once again well done to everybody who fished the match, we hope you had a good day. Congratulations to Ian, Neil D and Phil who were the top three respectively.
The Pohas It's a Knockout competition wasn't on at this match, but it resumes again on the next match at Wrightington on 6th September on Rivington View Pool. Hope to see you there...
