Junior Match - Partridge Lakes 'Pine Pool' - Saturday 16th August 2008

Penultimate match in this year's Junior League and the top four are all in with a chance of clinching the title, they are Sam Hughes, Jack Wright, Chris Dolan and William Armstrong if they all fish in the last match. As ever it will be down to the wire at the last match on Whitegate on 30th August.
Back to today's match we managed to have a dry day for once which was a bonus.
Eleven members fished today as some of our regulars were away on holiday.
With having a butty van on site and chips for those who were hungry at lunchtime, everyone was well fed and watered.
The fishing was tough, Jordan fished his socks off catching silver fish and amassed 3lb 6oz 8drm and getting a well earn't fourth place.
Jack was unlucky when a decent size Carp escaped leaving him with just a fish scale on the hook, had he have been successful it would have been a full 20 points and a match win without doubt. Given the conditions he got a very respectable 3rd place which keeps him in the hunt for the title.
Sam came in 6th today and hangs on to the league lead by one point.
Well done to everyone who fished today, the fish were not having it, so everyone did a sterling job, we had no blankers which is always good news.

Hope you enjoyed the match along with the food and drink. Look forward to seeing you all again on Saturday 30th August when we will be fishing our final match of this year's Junior League, look forward to seeing you there...
