A hot and sticky day in North Yorkshire today! Temperature about 74 degrees, but absolutely no breeze whatsover.
The Carp were definitely keeping a low profile today, although a few members managed to eek some out. Silverfish abounded so most people were kept busy hauling out ounces..
Our thanks to the staff at Woodlands Lakes for their hospitality. The breakfast was great and much needed after a two hour coach journey to Thirsk.
Neil Davies was the unfortunate owner of the 'Golden Peg curse' today. Yet again it continues to go on, and on, and on. One day, yes, one day!
Majority of anglers used the pole, although very few could actually reach the island even with extensions on. Bait varied from peg to peg. Pellet, Caster, Sweetcorn, Worm all had varying degrees of success,
Our winner today was Ian Armstrong with a hefty 41lb 13oz, well done Ian.
We also had an intermediate League match incorporated into todays venue. Alan Lamb took 1st Place, well done Alan!
See you at Charity Farm on 19th August for the continuation of our Summer League |
