What a finale we had to the 2006 season for our Juniors!
Firstly a big thank you to all those that came to the match in what was atrocious weather conditions, we had heavy rain and gusting winds, but we still had fifteen Juniors fishing!
The weather didn't dampen the spirits, even though a few people had their brollies floating across the pool. Dan even managed to get his box to float!
I believe the Gazebo used by the cook also went gliding, but I missed that (damn).
Congratulations to Sam Hughes for winning in only his second match. Well done also to Jake Crank who caught the biggest fish of the day a 2lb 14oz Mirror Carp which earned him second place in this match, and to Mr Consistency, Jack Wright who came home in third place in today's match.
The majority of fish caught today were Roach and Rudd, but given the sudden change in weather the catch was good.
This was the last match for this year and we finally have our top three in the 2006 Junior League, They are:-

It has been a great year for the Juniors with us visiting new venues, a competition against Birchwood (which we won), a competion on the canal against Dallam Juniors, and in total we had twenty nine Junior members fished throughout the season.
We hope to see you all again next year either in Junior or Intermediate Leagues (depending on age).
Congratulations to everyone who took part, thanks to all our adult helpers, and we hope to see you at our Presentation Night at Roosters Club, Liverpool Road, on Friday 13th October starting at 7.30pm. Remember Juniors are free, accompanying adults are £5 Each, which includes a free hot buffet for all those in attendance. Loads of free giveaways for our Junior members, lots of laughs also.
See you there!
